4 | tb | Liquid sweetener |
6 1/2 | c | Half and half |
3 | tb | Plain gelatin |
4 | tb | vanilla |
3/4 | ts | salt |
Preparation for Low Fat and Healthy Vanilla ice cream Recipe:
Make a custard of the eggs, milk, and liquid sweetener. Soak the gelatin ina small amount of water and add enough hot custard to dissolve the gelatin.
Cool. Add cream, vanilla, salt, and gelatin to custard. Strain and freeze.
This will still be palatable and contain even fewer calories if all of the
milk and half and half are replaced by non-fat milk.
